Company Profile: We have a vacancy as AVP-Alliances & Sales based in Mumbai for our clients who are a highly successful, fast growing, professionally managed FinTech organisation. The organisation is very well funded by some of the World's most prestigious PE firms, has over 20 branches in Inida, book size of over Rs.800 crores and headcount of over 600#. The position reports to the Director-Sales. The organisation is a non-deposit taking FinTech organisation registered with RBI. They are engaged in a highly profitable niche segment of  lending business targeting small and medium sized retailers who find it difficult to get financed by traditional financial institutions. The loan offering is quite unique in terms of its parameters such as monetisation of future cash flows from payment cards swiped on Point-of-Sale terminal, flexibility in repayment, and partnership spirit.
 
It is a one-of-the-kind offering and has created a separate industry in the country. They have developed a specialised technology platform to cater to our special product. They also have CIBIL membership and access to consumer as well as commercial credit data. The company is driven by innovation, technology and entrepreneurial spirit in each sphere. 
 
The company has developed a business framework which not only encompasses traditional lending segments but also has a strong customer relationship program. The development of this framework has led to engagement programs which have been customised for merchants and hence have a relation which would be independent of the loan. This is a unique feature in the product bouquet and leads to opportunities in having a very strong fee based presence in the financials.
 
The company operates out of its head office in Mumbai.

Job Description:  This role will have a very high visibility across the top management and will be responsible for growing these new products into full fledged businesses with a P&L of its own. The ideal candidate would have flair for generating sales through alliances /partnerships (banks, BFSI, payment gateways) and setting up the sales processes/ infrastructure from scratch.

 

The incumbent would

  • Co-own the P&L of the product with focus on Customer Acquisition and Activation goals
  • Manage existing and new partnerships for the products to turn them into key accounts providing a steady flow of new customers
  • Work with Product and Program Management teams to create structured processes and solutions for partners
  • Create and manage innovative & low-cost lead to conversion solutions and processes
  • Plan, execute and monitor the sales operations to attain the scale being envisioned for the product
  • Build and Lead a lean sales organisation commensurate with the business model goals and the envisioned scale

 

Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate should be MBA (Premier /good institutes) with 7-15 years relevant Sales / BD eperience BFSI, Insurance, FinTech, Retail, Ecommerce, Telecom,  Bancassurance, Insurance, Mutual Funds, travel, forex  or other organisations in building and nurturing mega-alliances, partners especially with banks, BFSI, payment gateways, payment wallets etc.

 

  • Be a self starter
  • Be ok with the start-up (all-hands-on-deck) approach
  • Have experience in scaling sales through a resource-lean model
  • Be comfortable with and have created technology led customer acquisition solutions including CRM
  • Have managed sales through partnerships in financial/telecom/retail services industry
  • Be able to influence across levels of a partner organisation right from CXO to ground level
  • Have a track record of increasing responsibilities in sales
  • Demonstrate capability of creating innovative sales processes and enablers
